PreservationWorks is an advocacy network committed to the preservation, restoration, and adaptive-reuse of Kirkbride plan asylums.  Fewer than 40 buildings remain in various states of use or disrepair. We work to cultivate and strengthen relationships with local, state and federal government officials, building owners, developers and local preservation groups. Through education of the history and purpose of these buildings, we strengthen support for their adaptive-reuse and preservation.

You may choose to join as either a Silver Member or Gold Member, either in your own name or as a gift for a relative or friend who supports Kirkbride preservation.

Your tax-deductible membership will be used to support our efforts to preserve Kirkbride structures and the stories within.

Please note that for Canadian donations, we cannot provide an official tax receipt.  The Canada/U.S. Tax Treaty offers limited relief for a Canadian resident who contributes to a U.S. nonprofit organization. Please contact your tax advisor for details.
